Go on the designers website and see if they are planning a trunk show in your mom’s area and book an appointment at the salon that is having their trunk show. The chances a specific gown will be there for a trunk show are very good if it is a fairly current collection. Absolutley call around first and see if anyone already has it. What is the name and designer of the dress you are looking for?

I would call and find out what store has your dream dress-absolutely, but dont put all your eggs in one basket. Sometimes the dream dress may not be the one, so be open to trying on all types of dresses! On the other hand I had one dress in mind and there was only one store in the state of florida that carried this dress. Luckily it was close to my house so of course i had to try it on. This ‘dream’ dress became the ‘one’ 🙂 I say go for it!!!!

@love108:

I definately know what you mean. I was not able to commit to a dress unless i tried on my dream dress as well LOL I called a week in advance…when i got there they scarred me and told me that they think they sold the sample…but they had it in the back room -phew! SO if you call and they have it, i would try to make an appointment asap, especially if this dress is one that is hard to find! Good luck – keep us bees posted!!!
