@mplsdame:Not sure exactly how many this venue holds, but we looked at doing ours at Murzyn Hall in Columbia Heights. I had my doubts before we went to look, but it was a very nice place. The bonus was that you could bring in your own catering and provide your own alcohol.

Sorry, there are no users yet.
Just wanted to post a message to anyone that has booked or was thinking of booking the Commemorative Air Force Museum in South St. Paul for their reception, that they have cancelled all events for 2011 and do not have the proper permit to hold events there. My fiance and I were supposed to have our reception there on July 2, and they just informed us (by e-mail) that they cannot hold our event there and that we need to find another venue.
I found documents on the city of South St. Paul website dating back to last year showing that they have known about this problem, but chose not to inform anyone until now.
So now we are a little more than three months out from our wedding, and have no venue. Already have caterer booked, rentals reserved, liquor & pop purchased (because they were going to let us bring in our own), sent correspondence to over 300 guests, and hotel rooms booked.
So if anyone knows of any venues in the metro area that hold at least 300 people (that allow outside catering), we would greatly appreciate any suggestions! Thanks in advance for your help!
