Oh man, that's rough! 17 days is still two and a half weeks. Remember, there's no need to sweat the small stuff (i.e. all those DIY details). Dress? Groom? You're good to go. Best of luck!
I feel your pain. I am self employed...which is code for I have to do EVERYTHING myself and I'm not sure how I'm going to slip away even to do the marrying. We aren't going on a honeymoon for this same reason. Hang in there...in the end, you'll do what you have to do to get yourself to the wedding and if there is anything that falls through the cracks, no one will be the wiser.
P.S.
Couldn't you just slip away for the fitting of the dress? That shouldn't take you that long...
You'll get through it all, you can do it!
Congrats on your big day coming up soon...I hope it rocks!
Yes, I'm definitely going to the dress fitting - the work can be done from home, it just has to be DONE by Sunday afternoon. It's a lot of reading and writing (I'm a lawyer).
OK, I'm going to get back to it...WB is wonderful but is a time suck too!
I hear ya. I should be working right now, too....it's like having your girlfriends chatting in your office...you can't get anything done, but you don't want them to leave either. hehe.

My wedding is almost here (17 days to go), and I'm so incredibly excited. And OF COURSE, as always seems to happen, work has gotten incredibly busy. I haven't been able to do anything at all wedding-related this week, and yesterday I was told I needed to spend "every waking moment" on a project for work between now and Sunday afternoon. Of course, I have things like my final fitting on Saturday that I have to do, but I guess everything else that can wait will just have to wait some more...
And next week is going to be busy too, through Wednesday. Which essentially will leave me with a week and a half.
I know it comes with the territory for my job, but still...I wanted to scream yesterday afternoon when I was told that!
