We are far off from our wedding, but we know what we want to engrave on each others ring...we talked about it together! No surprises here...but I can see why a surprise would be wonderful in this situation!
I plan on doing this for my SO's ring! Just something simple to remind him of me!
He doesn't know I am getting his engraved. It should be fun to see how long it takes him to even notice.
I surprised my SO with his engraving. I wasn't sure if I was going to engrave anything but they did it for free. I'm kinda glad I left it as a surprise, he loved it. He actually took if off today just so he can re-read what I had engraved on it 6 years ago! He likes to read it every now and then. I think it's sweet because he never takes it off. It actually fits him kinda snug now so taking it off is no easy feat lol.
Oh forgot to mention, it's his promise ring not wedding band. Which I plan to engrave as well. And it will be a surprise.
@luvmyDwight: haha, sure! We are engraving 'Love you nerd' inside each others ring...it is our thing. Everytime we argue, when we have nothing else to say one us says 'love you nerd' and everything it suddenly ok, and we smile :)
edit: we aren't sure if we are going to add 'I' before the love...lol we have time to think about it!

I know what I want to have engraved on my FIs ring and I thought I wanted to keep it a secret but now I'm not so sure.
I think if he knew what I am putting on his he would know what to put on mine. (It is a little something special we shared a while back. A scene from a movie.)
Did you keep your engravings a secret or go in on it together?
Is there some sort of tradition with engravings?
