Indoor? Outdoor?  Time of year?

A catered event at the US Botanic Gardens or the Sculpture Garden would be beautiful

Ping Pong in Chinatown has a really cool modern spin on dim sum with excellent cocktails

Clyde’s has rooms you can rent out and has that nice oaky feel to it.

If you are looking for more casual, a picnic-style event at Rock Creek Park near the creek would be lovely, too.  And you can have outdoor games like bocce and cornhole.

Does it have to be in DC? Try http://www.2941.com/ in Falls Church, VA. maybe not a sit down there, but horsd’ and cocktails would be nice.

I had mine at a place called Indigo Landing of GW Pkway in Alexandria- it is RIGHT behind DCA so you see the monuments in the distance and the planes taking off over DC- it was a fabulous place! I had open bar and appetizers/dessert for about 40 people and came in around 1400 I think- They have a back room that they can section off and part of their deck so you can have indoor/outdoor options and the scenery is beautiful.  I had 3 people in from out of town and they thought it had that perfect “DC” feel.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions or want the contact I worked with etc.
