Hello! I’m Newly Engaged and I’m Already feeling the stress. -_-
I’m looking for a venue around 2,000 dollars (or less). I haven’t picked a date but we picked the months May or July. (No birthday/anniversaries to compete with). My fiance lives in Duvall and I live in the Tri-cities. And as life would have it ALL his family lives on the West side of Washington. My family however lives in *drum roll* Wisconsin.
I’m flustered from Googling that side of the state. >.< Everett; Redmond; Seattle; Arlington; Issaquah -All sound like foreign places (lol) Anyways it would really help me out if you could give me some suggestions for venues. I was hoping for a garden-like venue that serves/allows Alcohol.
My Redneck family meets High society, they’ll feel so out of place they’re gonna need the liquor haha
Thank you 🙂

Hi, I’m getting married in October in Seattle at Golden Gardens. I would look at the Seattle Parks Department. They have quite a few locations for reasonable prices. Good luck!

I am getting married in Seattle in 1 week- so I definately understand your stress!
I totally agree with suzeeq11, The Golden Gardens bathhouse is a great spot!
If you have affliations with U-dub I hear their gardens are really nice.
The MV Skansonia looks super awesome to me! But I don’t know much about the cost.
The Woodland Park Zoo is a fun place (not sure about cost?)
These are all in Seattle- so it would be easier to find hotels etc and have easy tourist activites for those out of town families. If you feel like going out of seattle a little, Woodinville has a ton of wineries that would be great wedding spots, and Fall City/Issaquah/Snoqualmie have some places that would be pretty.
If you find that prices are too high, I would highly recommend avoiding Saturdays- it can save you more money than just the cost of the venue since all vendors are more popular on Saturday (like photography, catering, etc.)
I found going to the Seattle Wedding Show at the Convention Center in January was very worthwhile.
