Ah thanks for the reminder! Was watching Burn Notice on the DVR... just switched over!
I started to tear up towards the end when he gave his speech. I'm going to miss COCO.
I'm sure this isn't the last we have heard from him, he's free in seven months to move on to something bigger and better hopefully.
Yes, he is so classy! I love him even more than when I was in high school and wanted to marry him soooo bad.
Aww Mouse, so cute and yet b/c it's Conan, a little bit creepy. I love how he would joke about how creepy he was! I love his sense of humor.
Just came across the text of his farewell speech... I love what he said about cynicism:
To all the people watching, I can never thank you enough for your kindness to me and I’ll think about it for the rest of my life. All I ask of you is one thing: please don’t be cynical. I hate cynicism — it’s my least favorite quality and it doesn’t lead anywhere.
Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you’re kind, amazing things will happen.

I know! I have been calling him my future husband since I was 12! His speech was awesome, and I am sure he had a blast rockin out in the end there! I'll miss Coco!

Thanks MrBee, for posting that quote! Conan is such an awesome guy, not ashamed to say I shed a tear (or three) over his last episode.
@mouse: I wanted to marry him when I was 14-15 so you are not alone! lol.
I wonder why his Tonight Show didn't get the ratings... do you think it's true that he doesn't have mainstream appeal?
I think he definitely has mainstream appeal. But I think that time slot (and just the Tonight Show in general) appeals more to baby boomers. Baby boomers don't get Conan's humor, for the most part. Our generation isn't watching that time slot for some reason. We're not watching a lot of live TV in general b/c of Tivo and Hulu, etc.
That's just my opinion; I could totally be wrong.
@mouse I agree! I know that my parents absolutely watch that time slot and don't like him nearly as much as some of the other "classics". My father thinks he is too "all over the place" and perfers the more traditional Tonight Show humor.
I think Conan does have mainstream appeal.
