I bought my dress at Kleinfelds (shout out to Erica's other clients - she's the best! and no, I did not get filmed!)  I have been watching say yes to the dress ever since at first for the posterity, and a little bit to see if my dress made it to the show.  ever since, something has happened...i am starting to have a little dress envy and uncertainty! (I bought my dress in Feb 09 for my June 10 wedding) However - I can't stop watching!  What do you think - once you have committed to THE dress - do you stop watching all things bridal?

I definitely limit my bridal gown "exposure".  I don't watch SYTTD and I don't go online searching for other dresses.  I just think nothing good can come of it!

Haha, I'm pretty sure everyone's answer here is going to be no! There are several threads on here already where everyone talks about dress envy from watching that show (myself included!)

That's not the only place it comes from though - my worst moments of envy were actually here on WB, from brides posting dress porn. LOL

I didn't start watching SYTTD until well after I had purchased my dress.  Also, because of my dress budget, while I may have dress envy, I know I could never afford to buy any of the dresses on the show, so that helps.  But I agree with Tulip, limit the dress exposure, that should help calm your fears. Also, maybe try your dress on again?

I got my dress at Kleinfeld too and I totally watch SYTTD all the time. I haven't really experienced dress envy just because I'm in love with my dress and I found exactly what I was looking for. I still love looking at dresses, though. I don't look online anymore (except for what the bees post) but I love SYTTD. I can't get enough of Randy.

I had to cut back since I kept second guessing myself. I can still watch SYTTD (since 99% of the dresses are out of my price range) but I can't look at dresses online or in magazines. Too much temptation can be a bad thing!

There are going to be more dresses that you like and think are pretty, but just remember that they aren't all YOUR dress. Don't second-guess yourself...I am sure yours is gorgeous, perfect, and uniquely you!

I have my dress but still watch Say Yes to the Dress religiously. For me, it was simple. Any of the dresses at Kleinfield I could never afford (my dress was a Watters Marquarite $800 lace beauty). I absolutely love my dress and it fits the mood of our wedding perfectly. Sometimes I get a little envious but in the end I know I could have never had any of those dresses because they are way out of my budget and I have the best dress I can afford.

When you try and look at it in a different way you have less dress envy. Plus I always think.. hey I saved all this money by having a relatively inexpensive dress... now we can do that mountain biking trek I've wanted to do on our honeymoon in Maui... becuase we'll have the money to do so!

Besides, you have to remember that your hubby will think you are beautiful in anything. Trust your first judgement that you have chosen the right dress. :-)

I have been SYTTD obsessed for a while now.  Not a good thing when I live in a house with 5 guys.  I bought my dress at Kleinfeld's biggest competitor in the country (Bridal and Formal in Cincinnati) and it was funny that they mentioned the place while I was there.  B&F is actually considering doing a show as well.  I watch the show for the funny drama and yes I still look at dresses all the time!  My SO wonders if I will stop after the wedding and hopefully I will.  I was worried about having dress envy but I think my dress is amazing and gorgeous on me.  I haven't seen another dress that I like more - except maybe the Amsale from The Hangover but I would never pay that much for a dress.

My wedding is over and I still get dress envy. I think every bride second-guesses their dress decision at some point.

Personally, I don't believe there's one dress for everyone. I think any bride would be more than happy in a few different dresses because there are so many options. It's about finding a dress that fits your budget and that you feel beautiful in. If the dress you already bought fits those two criteria, well then, I think it's the dress you shoud wear on your wedding day :)

Also, remember, so many of the dresses they feature on SYTTD are really expensive. Most brides can't even afford them!

I stopped looking at most bridal magazines- every ad is a freakin dress! They should publish an i've-already-found-my-dress-but-still-want-wedding-ideas magazine

I didn't start watching SYTTD until after I'd bought my dress - if I had started watching it before, I might have been a little afraid of the whole dress-shopping process. On the show they always make it seem so drama-filled! Thankfully, my dress shopping in real life was easy and pleasant and involved zero drama! I haven't yet seen a dress I like better than mine (or that I would like better on ME, anyway), which is encouraging!
