So, I had my invitations all packed up and ready to go. Metallic black pocketfolds with 4 inserts with black/blue writing all sealed with a blue bellyband satin ribbon and monogram. I thought I was in love…..3 months ago. Long story short, I fell in love with the watercolor invitation trend and decided “well heck, if I can design something I like, I have enough time, ink, and paper to redo everything!”
So…I did. Here is the result. The new invites are simple; I used the pocket portion of the pocketfolds, a piece of blue vellum, and an organza ribbon. I also did the program and menu, since I was on a kick! The RSVP and details cards go in the pocket, and affixed to the other side is the invite. So happy I re-did these 🙂
Done in Adobe Photoshop with various brushes and methods, then text/lay out in Adobe InDesign. I spent about 12 hours (in 1 day….) on the whole thing! Now, to print and assemble the other 29. I don’t think I would have done this if I had more than 30 invites to send out!
