I don’t usually use waterproof, but I have liked Tarte’s “Lights, Camera, Splashes” mascara.

On the regular day-to-day, though, I prefer the non-waterproof version. (Lights, Camera, Lashes)

@justjade:  I know not everyone likes it, but I love the Maybelline Falsies mascara (purple bottle). I’ve never had a problem and it’s like $5-6 a tube.

I love the Full’N soft waterproof mascara. It makes my lashes look full and not brittle looking. I’ve been using this one for years and I absolutely love its its about 6-8$. I’ve tried others and I feel like they leave lots of globs of mascara behind of they look ciumped together like if I have applied gel to them or something.

L’oreal voluminous in carbon black is fantastic! It makes my lashes look really long without clumpiness. When you first use it you may have to scrape the wand on the tube a bit to get clumps off but that is what I wore at my wedding and wear it almost every day. Plus it’s a drugstore mascara so it’s only like $7!

I have a severe eye issues.  I even had to stop wearing contacts.

Anyhoo, I’ve never found a waterproof mascara that didn’t turn my eyes red and make me look like a meth head, but i can recommend a good basic mascara— Origins Fringe Benefits.  It’s $16.50.  The only stuff I can wear and still look like a sane person.

Probably not overly helpful, since waterproof is what you’re after, but consider this: Macy’s will take back makeup of you don’t like it. do

I think Bobbi Brown’s Everything Mascara is waterproof.  I usually use Maybelline Great Lash with a different/more expensive mascara wand.

I like the L’oreal Waterproof Voluminous Million Lashes. I recently accidentally fell asleep with my make up on after being exhausted from Christmas Eve celebrations and my mascara did not even smear at all and my eyes are watery when I wake up. It also makes my lashes very full and people always ask me if I have fake lashes on.

The Pixiwoo girls (makeup artists on youtube) did a waterproof makeup challenge where they tested a bunch out. Very informative and pretty funny to watch too http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SG8koXEtiag

the cover girl 24 hour mascara in the black tube is pretty good, but very hard to get off! If your eyes are very sensitive I recommend Blinc mascara. it’s a “tubing” mascara that only comes off as little tubes with warm water and gentle rubbing, but will dry again with a few tears, if you don’t rub it. it never smudges, just comes off in little pieces that can be wiped away. Blinc is not the best for building volume, but for cryers it’s an excellent choice and they have a lash primer that adds a bit more volume. Another option is to wear a waterproof mascara on the top lashes and the Blinc mascara on the bottom (if you are wearing any mascara on the bottom). don’t forget about a waterproof eyeliner as well!
