Hi hive! I’m a bridesmaid in my friend’s wedding, and she is looking for green dresses for us to wear. Since green is a color that varies so much, we have been having a hard time finding the right shade for the right price. All of the affordable dresses (David’s Bridal) are the wrong shade, and the pricey ones (Jenny Yoo) are the right price. Figures, huh!
We’ve only been looking online for now, as the bride doesn’t have her dress yet and it would be weird for us to try on dresses before she does! We found some that we *think* are the right color from Watters, but we don’t know how pricey they are.
Has anyone ordered a Watteres BM dress? Were you happy with it? What was the average price (we definitely want short dresses)? Thanks!

I considered them for my bridesmaids and found some in the WToo line for around $225. (The Watters dresses are probably more.) Try http://www.houseofbrides.com to get an idea of what you can get it for online, and the likely retail price (I’ve found them to be pretty accurate with Dessy bridesmaid dresses, at least). Make sure to order swatches before you order if you go online… I just had to change one of my colors. 😉

I was looking at some Watters dresses for my girls but they are all above $200, although I think only the long ones are above $250…Watters also has a slightly cheaper line called WToo that might be worth looking at, those range from like, $150-$200…Good luck!

I just called a bridal shop yesterday about Watters bridesmaids dresses ( I want to try one on and possibly order it in ivory for my wedding dress), and she said they were all under $400. The dresses are lovely. Good luck!

I don’t know what they run, but I definitely think it’s okay to at least try some on before the bride has her dress. My ladies ordered theirs before I ordered mine, although I knew which one I had to have at that point!

I am very surprised at the results. $250 is a lot of money to ask of a bridesmaid considering they also have to pitch in for a bridal shower, a present, money and card, and possibly a night in a hotel. Especially if it is a dress they will never wear again.
