I have a new dress I am swooning over thanks to my sister ...
Watters "Harmony" ... so I am looking for opinions from those who have purchased (and bonus if you have already worn) a Watters dress ...
Thanks Bees!
I want SOOOOOOO badly to be a Watters bride... "Delicias" to be specific.
But it's out of my price range unfortunately.
oh wow...your dress is gorgeous, mini.
my friend had bridesmaids dresses from watters and all the girls loved them...said they were super comfy!
Thanks ... I LOVE lace dresses and was looking at the Allure 8634 ... but since my sister emailed me the Watters Harmony the allure just doesn't grab me as much ... The Harmony is a bit more than I wanted to spend, but ....
Ms Mini.. I'm also considering Allure 8634 and now that I saw the Watters Harmony I realized that it has all the things I wanted that 8634 didn't. ;) I wish Watters was not so expensive!!
My friend was a Watters bride! Wasn't she lovely?
She wore 9040B.
Delicias is my dress! I'm starting to second guess it though and wish I had gotten something a little more form fitting on the bottom...
Fabulous pictures, I talked to my FH, and he although it would be over the dress budget, he is okay with me going a bit over if it what I really want. He is feeling badly though because I will likely need another thoracic surgery and will have more visible scars on our wedding. Not sure I should be "working" his feelings like that.
I loved my Watters Delicias dress! If anyone is interested I'm selling it on oncewed.com

I am wearing Watters WToo Clarissa. It is coming in Oct. THe pics of me in the sample are terrible becuase she clipped the dress so tight & I was bloated that day:( I'll post pics when my dress comes in!
I wanted WToo Carolina. I couldn't find a sample remotely close to my size to try on so I found another dress that looked great on me. It's the one that got away...

I loved the textured fabric, the circle skirt, and the sparkly belt. It had no internal structure though. My body liked the corset style I ended up with better.
i recently purchased my gown. Watters style 9052b. i absolutely LOVE it. watters sure does know how to cater to curvy ladies! here's my dress:
I just purchased my Watters dress!! Style Joy- I love it! It's beautiful, and timeless. I can't wait till it comes in :)
I placed my order a few weeks ago for Wtoo "Lucinda"
http://www.watters.com/product.php?style=lucinda&submit.x=0&submit.y=0
Mine was the Watters 9046B. I had the neckline dipped a bit to work with my necklace. Yes...alterations just for a necklace, but I really liked the end result. Ohh...and that's my Mom, she's also in a Watters dress.
The only thing I would say looking back, having head to toe lace I LOVED....but, it was hot under there. We had an outdoor with a walk ceremony and then traipsed through miles of trails for pics and the crinolin was like a sauna!
@Grnmel- Your pics are beautiful. Love the woodsy setting and your dress!
Watters Harmony is the dress that I ordered for my September 2010 wedding! I absolutely love it. I would post pics from the bridal salon, but they are not the best since I was in a size 8 bridal sample and I am a size 12 (reg sizes) girl.
I think the dress will be flattering on my body types because it is A line, but hey I might be a bit biased;)
hot tip: i just ordered my watters "san miguel" -- yesterday, in fact -- from an online store called HalfBridal, and got it for $400 less than anywhere else had quoted the price! (no, this isn't one of those shady chinese sweatshop-dress places that sell cheap knockoffs, it's the real dress, from Watters HQ.) they said they were having a Watters sale. in any case, instead of $1430 (and above) that I heard elsewhere, they offered it for just over $1000. and this is still a new, current design.)
PS: i actually have had not one but TWO other dresses before this. A j crew (resold already on eBay) that totally didn't fit at all. and a custom-made one-off design that's gorgeous -- but unflattering on me, personally. i'd been dreaming of this cotton-lace Watters, and decided to go for it at the last minute.
Oh, PS: You will see the normal retail price shown on their website, but I got the price reduction by emailing their customer service to ask about a rush order, and about the exact price. they offered me this discount, just like that!
I am going to wear the Watters Harmony dress also!!! It is PERFECT and EXACTLY what I was looking for! I'm so excited to wear it!
I purchased Watters 7086B for my wedding. I LOVED it, but actually went with another dress because the Watters dress was just too formal for our casual garden wedding.
It was hard to part with though. I'm selling it on oncewed also if anyone's interested!:

I tried on a few different Watters dresses, and for the price, I was always impressed with the quality of the dresses. Highly recommended!
I have an Watters, Style Adriana if anyone is interested.

Saw this today and it looks like a good deal if you can fit a size 12 or close to a size 12:
Jubyju--- I am not familiar with that company, but are they a licensed vendor for Watters? I think that dress is mighty inexpensive since the Harmony is a Fall 2009 style. Just makes me wonder why the price is so low.
Correct me if I am in the wrong here!
@jaylii9 Watters makes a line called WToo and the dresses are less expensive than the regular line. My Clarissa was about $750 and I ordered it through a bridal salon. Check them out on the website: http://watters.com/catalog_list.php?coll=wtoobrides
I know it says starting at $1,000 but they must have lowered prices on some designs because I tried on a few that were less.
ETA: OK. So I was wrong about the dress. It's part of the regular line. I think that co. has a good rep. I've seen posts of people ordering from them. That dress is part of the fall 09 line so maybe that's why its such a good deal.
Anyone who already has their dress - how long did it take to come in? Was it on schedule?
arizonabride- I do realize that Watters makes a less expensive line called wtoo, i tried on several of those pretty dresses as well:)
I was asking because the Harmony is a Watters dress, not wtoo and I paid quite a bit more for mine when I bought it a couple of weeks ago. It's just a curiosity thing. I also looked at a couple of other bridal shops in my area and they wanted more for the harmony style than the shop I ending up buying it from.
I saw a lot of variation in the price between salons, too. The Clarissa that I bought was going to be $740 at one place but they didn't have a sample so I went to another. The new place told me I would get a 15% discount if I ordered within 2 weeks and I just thought their price was the same and they didn't tell me. When I ordered the dress, it turned out their normal price was $885, so I didn't save any $$$ really. I wish I would have known because I thought the designer set the price, not the salon.:-(
It says they have an actual store in St. Louis MO: "<span class="sizing">Our Brick and Mortar store is named Carole Frew's Bridal."
These are some reviews I've found:

The only thing I can think of is that someone ordered that Harmony in a size 12 and then didn't want it, etc so they are selling it at a reduced price. It does say on their website that they accept returns of new unaltered gowns. If you look on the site for ordering a Harmony they are charging almost $1500 for one if you place a special order:
http://www.bestbridalprices.com/watters-watters-wedding-dresses-style-harmony-5044b-p-44107.html
I ordered a Wtoo Lucinda from a store in NH and I am paying $1500 for it. I found it on that site for around $1200, so not too much of a difference.
So, not sure, I haven't ordered from them, but it seems legit and a good deal if you are that size.
Thanks for the clarification! I guess all of that makes sense and it's good to know that they do have a brick and mortar store as well!
I am impressed with the quality and design for the price of both the Watters and Wtoo lines of bridal gowns. I have decided on getting the Wtoo Carolina dress (picture posted above by shaver2bee). I wasn't interested in it when I saw the dress on the Watters website, but it looks so much better in person! I would recommend using Netbride.com, who can get Watters dresses for much less than a store would charge. I have been very happy with them.
i just took pics of me in my Watters Style 9025b dress I purchased as a sample 2 months ago from 'lili bridals and formals' in tarzana, ca
if you guys have any more q's about the fit or anything, email me directly at bowiebride@gmail.com
@BowieBride - Wow! You are rockin' that dress. You look stunning!
I know you posted a while ago, but I just wanted to tell you that I too fell in love with this dress even though it was way out of my budget. I found a seamstress, smartandswankybridal, who will make this dress for less! They are located in the states and operate through paypal...you might give it a try!
To be honest, I am not pleased with Watters right now. I bought the Harmony and its not the same. I may have to choose and new dress and it for sure wont be Watters
@sskati - that makes me a little worried because I just purchased my Harmony dress and I thought it would be flattering because of the cut and sash...what was different about yours?!
