@mckernae: I tried on that dress (sorry don’t have a photo, store didn’t allow them).

I really liked it on me, except it was too low cut for me. I’m an hourglass/pear shape and I thought it was flattering.

@mckernae: I tried it on as well, but the store didn’t allow pictures 🙁 It was a stunning dress in person though! I’m a pear shape, and it looked beautiful–it really made my waist look tiny and de-emphasized my hips. I just wanted something a little more “bare” up top. I really like my shoulders (weird, I know), and this dress covered them up.

Also–just wanted to add: on the Watters facebook page, they have a photo album from a launch party, and the Escalante is in several of the pictures. They added a crystal sash to it in these pics. You can check this out to see how the dress looks in a couple of different views:

@mckernae:hmm…I’m trying to remember. I don’t remember if it had a spaghetti strap thing underneath (although it very well could have), but it definitely had cups. I’m fairly busty, and I felt like it was very supportive. It did not have boning, though. The bodice is just very fitted, so it feels like it has structure. Also, I seem to remember that the back is “sheer” lace, but it doesn’t really look sheer if that makes sense. It looks like it has a nude lining, and the lace pattern doesn’t have a lot of space, so you can’t see much skin through it.

Here are some pictures of me in the dress – it is very pretty! Here were my thoughts on it.

1) It is very low cut, although the seamstress said that could be easily fixed
2) The bodice under it is just a spaghetti strapped and nude – no cups, but cups can be added
3) the lace material was very itchy (i have sensitive skin, and it was making my neck very blotchy)
4) also, and i don’t know if this will make sense, but the for some reason i thought the lace material would have some stretch to it, but it didn’t, and i didn’t feel like it was laying right on my chest

@ginpin: really? I could have sworn it had cups! Maybe I just had my bra on or something…but you look gorgeous in that dress!!

ETA: it also might not feel like it’s laying right on the chest because the sample looks way too big for you:) It might lay right once it’s the right size.

Eeek, I love that bodice! It is a little too low cut for me, but the top half of the dress is what I really like!!! The lace is so beautiful!
