I love it!! So pretty! I think if you’re eloping then you can wear whatever you want. I can say go for it!

I think it’s absolutely gorgeous!!! It’s the type of dress I wanted originally but the style ended up looking awful on 🙁

Such a gorgeous dress! I don’t think you will look like a bridesmaid. I have a Watters dress for my wedding (THIS FRIDAY…AAHHH!) and it is very similar only with a much bigger skirt. Go for it!

It looks a bit like this one I tried on (I think it’s Jacinda?):

Pretty!

I ordered this dress a few weeks ago, and I’ve got to say, I’m a bit disappointed! This is the review I just left on the BLDN website:

The dress just arrived today, and I am beyond disappointed. I should have guessed that the dress wouldn’t be as glamorous as the photos based on the price, but I ordered it against my better judgement.

I was told on the phone that the models are 5’10 and wear 3 inch heels, so being 5’11, I ordered the dress. The dress is 2 inches too short.

Not to mention, the ribbon around the waist looks very cheap and the colour of the skirt is a lot more brown than it is in the photos.

After paying $35 for shipping to Canada and an additional $75 in customs fees, I’m pretty upset that I just threw $110 down the drain on a dress that is too short, and isn’t nearly as pretty as the photos suggest.

While this dress is being marketed as a reception dress, it would be far more suitable for a bridesmaid, not a bride.

bethanyfehr:  do you have a picture of the actual dress? It’s stunning in the photos but I’d love yo see the real dress.

I just bit the bullet and ordered this beauty from the BHLDN site! I had a ‘phone consult’ and they were super helpful answering my questions. After trying on many dresses this one won’t get out of my head, so I’m willing to risk loosing $100 in shipping if it gets here and isn’t right for me, but at least I will know for sure!

I’ll be sure to post an update as soon as it arrives

Wore the Lucca Maxi dress to my wedding, and it was perfect! I live in Colorado but eloped on 10/05/15 in Washington. The dress rolled up and traveled well in my suitcase (it was the only thing in my carry-on!), and had a few days to hang and “air out” prior to the wedding.

The dress was light and comfortable. There were two layers of tulle and two “underlayers” beneath the tulle (the “underlayers” felt cheap, but I felt that’s why the price was so fantastic); the tulle was soft and flowy. I would recommend getting a slip if you do want to wear a garter; I could see mine through the dress and removed it just before the wedding due to this! I loved the mesh illusion neckline, but I also had a little bit of redness on the left strap by the end of the day like other people I’ve seen review this dress have said. I felt this wasn’t that big of a deal though, and was acceptable given my love for this dress (plus it wasn’t really that itchy on that spot).

Also, I ordered the size 16 and am just over 5’11”. I wore flat shoes and the dress landed a little above the floor – which was fine for me given the setting. I felt the sizing was a little small, as I originally ordered a 14 based off of my measurements, but had to exchange for a 16.

All in all, I loved this dress and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a beautiful dress (and on a budget). It was beautiful and I haven’t stopped receiving compliments.

(I submitted a review to BHLDN too which is very similar to this one! Just a head’s up 😉 )

onemerecat:  Hey! Are you selling your dress by chance? I am so in love with the Lucca Maxi, but they are sold out in the 16! You look absolutely stunning!! 🙂
