I have Mimi too! I love my dress…after browsing millions of dresses online and trying on my favorites, Mimi was the one! The pics I have seen all look great to me, although I am detaching the flower in the front and wearing it in the back over the bustle once my train is up. If you google mimi images lots of real-life bride pics pop up!

I have the mimi dress as well and I loved it when I first tried it on but when I picked up my dress I thought it was aa bit too puffy. I’m not sure if it’s because it’s been packed up in the bag or what but  I’m thinking of getting one layer of crinoline taken out. Has anyone found the same?

Hi There!

I am in the same boat as you! I love the mimi dress, but am a bit worried about the size/poffiness of it. The sample at the store must have been very worn/matted down, because I don’t remember it being this fluffy. My first alteration lady didn’t want to take out any of the crinoline because she said it was beautiful big, but I’m just not sure I’m comfortable wearing this big dress. I’m thinking about taking it to another alteration place for a second opinion byt worry taking out a layer will disform the dress overall. Other ideas people have told me is to hang it up and hope that it starts to fall down a bit.

Let me know what you do.

Best of Luck!

I got 2 layers of tulle cut out of the dress and I absoultely love it now! It was just a bit over-powering and heavy for a hot August wedding. It also feels much better on my legs. The seamstress cut the bottom 2 layers out and it cost about $50. She also told me if I didn’t like it she could easily re-attach them. I recommded finding someone who primarly alters wedding dresses who will understand the need of de-poofing a dress!
