I’m a Wausau Bee!  I live in Kenosha but grew up in Wausau.  My fiance and I are getting married May 14th, 2011.  Looking for vendors and a venue now.  Have you decided where your reception will be?

We were going to go with the Plaza, I like the feel of it, but they were booked for our date and I didn’t really want to move it.  I am now between Stoney Creek (I like the “upnorth” feel but its so expensive.  I am also looking at Best Western Midway.  I like the plaza aloth though, for some reason my fiance did not (his side of the fam is from Illinois and used to very fancy weddings).  Its been very stressful figuring out a place.  I found a place I liked alot on Kenosha and they were priced well but I ultimately decided Wausau was where my heart and whole family is!  I’m going to wausau next weekend to try and figure out a place.  My indecisiveness has rolled over into wedding dress shopping too!  Have you started dress shopping yet?  What dj are you looking at if you have started looking?

Hello ladies – I’m a Wausau bee too…getting married May 14th, 2011.

So far not a lot of planning has been done, but within the next few weeks we are picking the venue.

Can’t wait to hear what everyone has planned!

Hey all, I’m a little late to the party, but getting married in Wausau on Aug 21, 2010. I’m having my reception at the Granite Peak Sundance Chalet.  I LOVE IT!  It was a bit pricey, but it was the first place I actually liked.  Have you checked it out?

I loved that place, but was worried about having to rent everything.  How did that turn out for you?  Did you have a big budget for your wedding?

A few updates…

We are having our ceremony/dinner/dance all at Willow Spring Gardens (just north of town).

Found my dress and dress for my sister and nieces…all at Elegant Occasions in Rib Mt.

DJ is being done by my friend Jim Waterman – Tumbleweeds Entertainment.

A guy from my step-dad’s church is going to do the pictures.

Going to ask my cousin to marry us.

Now just need to work on cake, invites, flowers (love Evolutions but I’m afraid to find out pricing), accesories.  Although looking around for a photo booth…they all seem so expensive though (I’ve checked Brian West and Photo-booth 2 go).  I am sure there are other things, but that’s what I can think of as far as the big things.  If you have ideas on any of those things, please let me know.

Thanks!

Evolutions isn’t as pricey as you might think.  I suggest at least getting a quote, especially since they are so creative.  Sweet Nothings does fantastic cakes!

Thanks – was planning on checking them out — will just go in with my budget and see what they can do with it….even if it is less flowers, it may still be more of a statement!

Thanks for the cake info…I’ll check them out!
