I've successfully created all my wax seals for the wedding using a glue gun!  The problem now though, is that I don't know how to get the last bit of glue out of the gun without having to stick  fresh stick of wax in to push it through!!

I need to use the gun now for glue and was thinking I could just sacrifice a portion of a glue stick to push it through...but I still have quite a bit of wax left and don't want to waste it.   Does anyone know where I can get a mold of similar size and shape to the wax sticks so that  ican just push the wax into the mold and save it for reuse later??

Thanks in advance for any help!

use a regular glue stick instead of a stick of wax -- it'll get the rest of the wax out and clean out the gun. but i've never heard of being able to pour hot wax into a mold for future use...

I've never heard of a mold either. You could always try to make your own using one of the leftover sticks and some molding plaster (well lubricated), but frankly I think it would be more trouble than it's worth. If there's any of the stick still sticking out of the gun where you can get at it, cut it off, and then just stick a regular glue stick in there to push it out, melted. Glue sticks are really inexpensive, at least.

When I was at Paper Source they told me that once I use my glue gun for the wax seal I can no longer use my glue gun for glue stick. That glue gun is "pretty much ruined" according to them.

Really?!  :(  I am disappointed to hear that because they advertise it as being so useful for wax seals but then never disclose that once you use it for wax seals that's it.

Thanks for the other suggestions though.  I will research some more.
