Hi there lovely bees, I have a question for you!
We have picked our wedding parties (my best friend, good friend from uni, and soon to be sister in law and his three best friends that he has known from primary school). We have a bit of a dillema though, we want to do something to honour my two brothers but are not sure what! I don’t want to give them a job (like being an usher), I want to make them feel special and involved, but not like I’m calling on them to DO something because they’d have no choice. Any ideas?

How about adult ringbearers? They could each carry a box that said “his” and “hers”. Or a reading? or could you maybe ask them to give a speech at the reception?

I’d say having them do a reading or speech is a good thing to do.
Readings and speeches are usually meaningful, and they don’t make it seem as if the person doing the speech was added as an afterthought or because your family made you do it. They flow with the ceremony and reception and can even make the wedding seem more complete.

My brothers are walking my mom and grandma down the aisle. His close cousins will be doing a reading.
