I'm gld that you are okay! That could have been really bad if the car went out of control.
OMG! I'm so glad you are ok! That is actually one of my worst fears - for some reason I always worry about getting a flat tire that explodes and throws the car out of control...
Did you ever find out why the tire exploded?
oh my goodness! i am so glad you two are ok! time to count those blessings...and have those tires checked.
Oh thank goodness you and your FI made it out OK. I've heard many stories of people who weren't so lucky.

MrsK2be: Thank you. You know the crazy part about this is that this is like the third time we've had tire issues traveling on the same highway. We don't know why it blew out, the tire shop couldn't even figure it out.

Glad you're okay.. Yesterday must have been the day for scary car issues- Our car caught fire as we were getting home last night. Must be someone watchin out for us bees :)

On the highway at that. Our tire blew out on our way to sign some papers for our new house.. Like a really huge pow!!! Keep in mind the roads were packed as it was rush hour and also it was opening day for our local baseball team. The car swerved all over the place and my hubby to be fought hard to bring it back under control and pull it off to the side of the road. It was terrifying. Ppl stopped to make sure we were ok and the sheriff came. The blow out was so strong that it blew paint off of my car.
We put the spare on and went on to our appointment, a little shaken but safe.
I am so glad that J stayed calm and was able to get us to safety. Have I told you how much I love my superman.
