- Wedding: June 2015
After MUCH deliberation, we have finally all decided to go with the florist that my entourage loved in the first place! They are so professional and wonderful, and they have taller vases than anyone else in the area! We thought their customer service was really spectacular. He showed us designs we could do using other brides’ florals before we even signed a contract! We will eventually go back so he can show us the florals for our wedding 🙂
I want to do both tall and short vases, to add visual interest around the room. His tall vases are spectacular and our guests should be able to see right through them! I am SO excited and wanted to share with you all 🙂
The wedding will be very formal. We are trying to keep it very classic and romantic. We are sticking in a neutral palette with lots of whites, ivories, creams, champagnes, and little pops of blush pink here and there with lots of natural greens. We definitely wanted the greens and pinks tied in because the walls in the venue are stark white! Here are some photos of what our florist came up with:
So basically, the really tall vase is the vase we will be using. The flowers on top are for another customer, but he was just showing us how it would look. We don’t have our trial until much closer to the wedding, but it was easier to picture. Our flowers will have a similar shape, but there won’t be any purple. Just whites/ivories/creams/greens/champagnes/pinks. At the bottom of the vase, he will do mini arrangements using three of those quickstand roses (only one is pictured.) Each of the tall and short arrangements will be encircled by 6 small candles.
The short arrangements will be the same flowers and colors as the tall ones, but in a very short dish so that people can see over it easily.
He put together a mini bouquet for me so that I could see some of the colors that he will be using!:
Don’t mind the weird table cloth: it’s my parents’ Easter aisle runner 🙂
Those are the colors he will be using in the centerpieces.
My bouquet will be all white. The BM’s bouquets will be the same base whites as mine, but with some pops of light pink using peonies and roses.
For the escort card table, we are doing a shorter vase because there is low hanging chandelier over the table. It will be filled with water and white orchids and then an arrangement that looks like the top of our tall arangements will be placed on top. Around this vase, our florist is going to stagger pillar candles and use some votive candles as well. He is also going to do a few of those small arrangements of the quicksand roses in mercury glass, to tie in the tall arrangements in the living room!
This is sort of a bad photo of the vase and the orchids, but you get the idea:
You can kind of see a better photo of this vase in the background of this photo: (it is set up for someone else’s wedding)
We are so excited!!! What do you bees think?
