I'm all for it! Just lay off the pepperoni lest you retain water with all that salt! Or, eat a banana to counteract said delicious pepperoni....
that's exactly what we decided on doing yesterday! We are going to a bar/restaurant and ordering pizza for everyone and buying their drinks after the rehearsal. The place has ridiculously cheap yet delicious pizza so I think it will be great, I am glad someone else is doing pizza too!
We are probably going to do the same thing...we have a small wedding party and our rehersal along with the wedding are going to be very informal...plus pizza is my FH's favorite food!
Sounds great. Rehearsal dinners are usually casual food and most people love pizza so it sounds like you;re all set.
good idea... I have no idea what we are going to do for ours. no idea where/when/what... ahhh
my brother did that, it was so nice! we went to a local pizza place, super simple and tasty!
I think that sounds fun. My best friend's rehearsal dinner was pizza and salads and it worked out great. Really easy and you know everyone likes it!
I love the idea of pizza! I definitely want to do something relaxed and casual like this for our rehearsal dinner!
We are doing the same. FI's mom gave me 3 options - One was at a golf course with NASTY food, another one had really expensive food, and the last was it a fun local greek pizza restaurant. We picked the pizza. They have a very cool banquet space, and we are doing pizza, pastas, and salads as a buffet.
One of my favorite places around is a local pizza place. We're footing the bill for our rehearsal dinner and have considered it!
Yay for pizza! I'm seriously considering pizza as the biggest portion of our food at our reception. Yes, you read that right. Reception. LOL
We had all our guests staying in a big old Victorian house with several separate units in it. The night before, we just ordered a bunch of pizzas to be delivered, and fed people as they arrived.
I posted something about it earlier but we are having our rehearsal dinner at a local 50's diner. Its so much fun there, we have loved it since we were kids. All the waitresses rollerskate. Anyway, I just want to have a fun time and not stress for a few hours during th week of my wedding. We thought about pizza too, because it's cheap, easy and everyone loves it..
We did Pizza too! Its our favorite food. Also we did our rehearsal dinner the a week before our wedding. I wanted to feel perfect and well rested my wedding day. It worked out great, and I still had a few beers at my rehearsal and didnt have to worry about being hung over.
Too funny.....we JUST decided to do the same thing ten minutes ago!!! Pizza is by far my favorite food and we found the perfect place. Happy to hear others are doing it or have done it :-)
We were hoping to do the same! We found a place that has a semi-private dining area that holds ~48 people. But after I contacted their owner, he said they cannot reserve it for large groups on Friday nights. :( So we are still searching! We might do Mexican food too.
we are doing that too! I had a huge epic fight with fmil over how rude it is not to invite my family who are flying here from canada... long story short we are paying now so we are doing pizza and brownies. The best rehersal dinner I have ever been to was my moh, she had a super casual bbq and invided her many many oot guests. we got to know them and the wedding was that much more fun!
Why not? We're doing a really informal dinner at a pub with bar food. And we have a big bridal party. It's whatever you and your FI want!
I'm also thinking of doing pizza. Our ceremony site is 45min outside of our hometown, so I was thinking everyone could stay in town and eat at the local pizzeria. I was thinking of ordering some wings, pizza and a salad and calling it a day.

It's a very small wedding party, and an informal rehearsal, so why not?
The wedding coordinator at the church said they've had people do that before... No fuss, easy cleanup, sounds good to me!
Plus, it's PIZZA! mmmm....
