- Wedding: February 2014 - Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts
I am so excited. I finally get to put the deposit down on our venue this weekend to set our date to have our reception! Its been a long time coming as the date has changed a few times. Reason #1 MONEY and #2 getting all three major vendors (venue, caterer, and photographer) all on the same date because I wasn’t budging on the vendors. I had researched my behind off to narrow them down based on preferences and costs. Below is the venue and spaces inside where it can be held. Thoughts please.
Tom Clark-Todd Hall (below): $520 for 4hour rental time. 2300sq feet with 153 guest limit (as so they say however my brother had this room and his guest count was over 200 people). Hardwood floor so no dance floor rental required. The room also has a huge mirrored wall spanning the left-side of the space which makes the room unique. Outside this room there is a small area next to elevators to have a portable bar setup as the venue provides bar services. My only thing with this room is that it is closed, no windows, and I will have to cut my guest list down.
The East Room and KY Center Bar (pictured below). $835 for 4 hour rental time. 2800 sq feet with up to 175 people. You have to also rent their dance floor for $220. Making the price $1005. This room is open and has multiple views of the outside. It has a huge bar located in front entrance giving it a night-club vibe. However, my mom is a minister, so this may not go over too well.
What do you Bees think? I will be placing deposit on it this weekend. I am confused, I really want East Room/KY Bar but I think Tom Clark-Todd Hall is best.
