I know! So exciting. So far I have the venue, photographer, DJ, florist, day of coordinator all booked. I have my dress and I just scheduled an appointment to try her on in a few weeks. Currently working on cake consultations. Wedding website in progress – mostly done. I still need to do a bunch of things like buy veil/shoes/accessories for my dress, book the limo, order save the dates and invitations, figure out bridesmaids dresses and hair/make up.

What about you OP?

@MissAtoMrsV2014:  We were engaged a few months back, but all we had was the venue. With the holidays it’s been hard. But after new years I got my butt in gear.

  • Cake: My mom is baking it for us (she used to do this for a living, so it will be very nice and special)
  • Officient: Uncle just got officiated and is very excited to marry us. That will also be really special for me.
  • Venue: Booked and deposited
  • Save the Dates: Ready to be sent but waiting for the stamps
  • Wedding dress: Purchased

As for the rest of this month we’re going to head over to try some caterers, check out photographers and DJs, hopefully book some of these. Our venue is about an hour drive, so not too far away, but not that close either. I’m also headed over to where my family lives ~6 hours away for the bridesmaids to try on dresses (they all live over there).

I still don’t have my wedding colors yet, so I need to figure that one out pretty quick. haha

Eeeee I’m so excited!!  Here’s what we have accomplished:

  • venue
  • catering (we’ve already done a tasting and chosen a menu too!)
  • photographer
  • my dress
  • sent out save the dates
  • accomplished some DIY projects for decor

Still need to:

  • order bridesmaid dresses
  • put a downpayment on rentals
  • find suits for the boys
  • get a garter, veil, shoes, jewelry, lingerie for me
  • order flowers (we are doing like a Fifty Flowers type route)
  • get my new engagement ring setting
  • get invitations
  • find a ceremony musician and slash or a DJ
  • buy refreshments/beverages
  • do a ton more DIY!

@mrschatman2b:  It really depends. Depending on the store and designer, it might take a couple of months to even have the dress in the store, then you have to give them a few weeks at least to alter it.

With that said, I don’t have my dress in yet either… lol uh oh.
