Hello Bees!

I am so proud and so happy to announce that my hubby and I tied the knot on 10/4/09 in PA and are officially a married couple now! I couldn't be happier! The day was perfect, the weather was a perfect 72 degrees and sunny, everyone had the most amazing time and literally...nothing went wrong!

I am so excited and happy to spend the rest of my life with him. He is so wonderful and good to me. Our honeymoon in Spain was to-die-for and the 14 months of wedding planning and DIY projects and living* on Weddingbee paid off spectacularly. I wanted to thank you bees for all of the kind support and great advice over the past year.

I will still be a part of this community (how can I just leave after all of this time?) but I wanted to send out my deepest thanks and gratitude to all of you for being so wonderful and helping me along the journey down that aisle.

I'll be uploading load of wedding photos from our vintage glam wedding a.s.a.p (we just got the untouched photos from the big day.)

Thank you so much! The hair flower was from Etsy (as was about 90% of eveyrthing else I bought for the wedding) but it really was worth all of the DIY projects to give thr wedding our own personalized touch. It just made the day "ours."

And congrats to all of the other October brides who just finished their big days!

And I wanted lambs. For some reason...I realize this is odd. But two small bottle fed lambs (Snuggles and Patches) ran around the grounds of the estate all day and the guests got such a kick out of them! They were so sweet and everyone got to feed and pet them. They lent a great deal to the over-the-topness of the day.

The BM dresses were gunmetal grey from Priscilla of Boston (about $200) but they all picked out the dress, and all swore they would get it hemmed and wear it again. Hooray!

Also, they were holding fuscia colored flowers with peacock feathers. It's hard to tell from the photos. Same goes for the GMs.

Hahaha C-EWE-T...hahahaha awww! It was such an intimate and loving day. It felt like a dream. And the best part (aside from the whole "getting married" thing) was the After Party. I got to actually sit down and talk to all of the guests and we all met up at this fantastic restaurant in our hotel. Everyone just talked about how much they loved us and how great the day was. It gave us a little more time with them and a little more time to enjoy the day.

We held the cocktail hour on the gorgeous deck of the carriage house before going into the tent for dinner. It was spectacular! From the deck you could see rolling hills for miles around, and the beautful tree lined drive up to the castle. The venue is called Fonthill Castle in Doylestown, PA.

If any brides-to-be are from the Boston area, I would highly recommend dress shopping at Vows in Newton, MA. I got my Carolina Herrera dream dress there for a STEAL.

OMG, you look gorgeous and the lamb thing.. so adorable! :D

I bought the top hat for myself. It seemed fitting to wear one at a wedding that involved lambs.
