With this baby due anyday I was really hoping we’d have a short list we were more confident with! I’ve been perusing baby names FOREVER it seems!
Our son is Warren Thile (th-eally) Mets — at the time I felt like we ‘settled’ on Warren but it’s grown on me and is perfect for him. So I’m ok not having THE name… but we need a couple my hubby and I agree on.
We are team green and have the girl names pretty narrowed down. Here’s my breakout.
Warren & Paisley
Warren & Celia
Alta Paisley Mets (APM)
Alta Paisley Celia Mets (APCM)
Alta Paisley Cecilia Mets (APCM)
Alta Celia Mets (ACM)
Alta Cecilia Mets (ACM)
My rules include no name in the top 100, I’m leaning against anything that ends in ‘n’ sound like Warren (no Warren & Nolan), I’d like to include a family name (options Cecil, Whitfield, Ford, Arthur).
Here is our current list – but we just aren’t in love with anything – I feel like there’s a great name out there hiding from us! Cecil is obviously the current frontrunner.
Warren & Cecil
Warren & Everett (my hubby recently vetoed this – but I really like it)
Warren & Ford
Warren & Fielder
Cecil Everett Mets (CAM)
Cecil Arthur Mets (CAM)
Cecil Theodore Mets (CTM)
Everett Ford Mets (EFM)
Ford Cecil Mets (FCM)
Ford Everett Mets (FEM)
Cecil Whitfield Mets (CWM)
Some names we’ve gone through and vetoed: Ryker, Nolan, Soren, Carson, Linus, Walker, Ward, Wesley, Weston, Wayne, Calvin, Fisher, Wade, Stratton, Tucker, Oscar, Waylon….
So what uncommon but not unheard of fun names am I missing for boys that go well with Warren?? Or do you really like Cecil, Fielder, or maybe even Theodore?
What do you think of Warren and Fisher? My husband doesn’t like Fisher since he’s such a huge Phish fan and thinks everyone will assume a connection – but really we just LIKE the name 🙂
Ugh! Thanks for your suggestions.
