Estes Park is a great place... also, most of the ski resorts will be fairly cheap, since it's the summer.
Breckenridge is gorgeous! And during the summer, most of the fancy resturants publish coupons in the paper to get the locals to come in.. and all the busses are free!
Fall in the Rockies is fantastic. You might run into a random snowstorm, but September and early October are excellent times to visit!
May I also suggest Montana :)
Vail is gorgeous too. Make sure to check out Rocky Mountain National Park. And I second Montana. Glacier National Park is the prettiest park I've ever seen!
Steamboat is one of my favorite places on the planet. They have tons of music festivals, rodeo, kayaking in nearby rivers, hiking, and horsebackriding. I would move there in a heartbeat!
Edit: I almost forgot the hot springs! They're ah.maz.ing. And clothing optional at night ;)
We are also going to Colorado for our honeymoon. Been to the beach but never out west. I cant wait to see Colorado! Our first pick was Estes Park. My dada travels a lot and says it is a very nice town. But we booked a place in Pagosa Springs (healing waters) Colorado. My fiances parents have time share points they are giving us and Estes Park was already booked up so we are going with Pagosa which isnt too far from Telluride which Ive always wanted to go there. In Pagosa there are spas and out door hotsprings. You can go on day train rides along the rivers and mountain sides, there is horse back riding, hiking, fishing, etc. There are also plenty of returants but I dont think that it is too touristy. Its considered a hidden gem, I've heard. Where we are staying, we have a view of the Rocky Moutains, Im sooo excited! I think anywhere in Colorado would be gorgeous!

We are thinking a late summer Colorado Honeymoon. We've been to all the tropical sites and are tired of it. We thought we would try a romantic mountain getaway!!! Any tips on great places to stay or go without breaking the bank!?
