To the other bees who have had solo instumental musicians, please share how special it was and the songs you chose.  We will have her for 1.5 hours.  roughly 30 minute ceremony and then 1 hour cocktail hour.

I cannot wait to walk to Canon in d.

My girls will be walking down to her playing It will rain-Bruno Mars.

We have not decided on our recession song.

I am excited to hear experiences of other bees who have went with a solo cellist or other solo musician!

@Misshotsauce: I know they have so many options! but they are pricey - $500 an hour ... and it is a bit difficult to shop around under the circumstances.. the steel drum band is my splurge. I think the live music adds a nice touch ! A cellist will be so romantic and classy .

I am planning on booking a string quartet to play for my ceremony and during the cocktail hour as well (maybe). Does anyone have any advice on how to pick who to hire? I have three quotes and all have samples on their website, which I like, but should I meet them in person? I'm not sure if that is necessary but I feel strange booking someone I have never met.
