St. Lucia! Ahhhhh bees this is so exciting! This will be my first time traveling out of the country (minus Canada lol). We’re staying at the Sandals Grande St Lucian for 7 nights. We have to wait a month and a half after the wedding since FIs vacation doesn’t kick in until the beginning of April. Has anyone been to this hotel? We’ve heard nothing but great things on trip advisor.

To @MrsSweetT: CONGRATULATIONS… that is great news.
Haven’t been to Sandals St Lucia (any of the properites) but I too have heard good things about them, and we caught a nice glimpse of La Toc when we were in St Lucia on our own Honeymoon (Caribbean Cruise)
St Lucia is BEAUTIFUL… such an interesting island and the people are warm & friendly.
I am sure you’ll have a wonderful time…
Question… Have you read any of the many other posts here on WBee about the Island ? Losts of great info / stories from other Bees.

@This Time Round: Thanks! I haven’t seen other posts about St Lucia yet. I wanted to get a fresh perspective first 🙂

@MrsSweetT: lucky! My sister stopped at St. Lucia when she was on a cruise and said we HAVE to honeymoon there, it’s beautiful. Well we can’t afford it but I was looking it up, GORGEOUS!!

To @MrsSweetT: understandable… hopefully you’ll hear from Bees who have stayed at this Resort.
NOTE – I do know that when you stay at Sandals St Lucia, you can access all 3 Resorts… believe I’ve read that other Bees have done that… especially to change up the Restauarant scene.
As for the other posts I was referring to… a good many of them are on what to see & do on the Island etc. You can go back thru the Honeymoon Board’s List for the last few months there are many… (St Lucia is a popular Honeymoon Destination)
And the Blogging Bee Mrs Beanstalk = http://www.weddingbee.com/author/beanstalk/#axzz2kkz2Zc3Q spent her Honeymoon in St Lucia albeit at a different resort.
My one TIP… is pack bug spray (this is a rainforest / jungle after all). And bring along some motion sickness / upset stomach meds. The island is very mountainous / hilly, and the roads winding and a real adventure (as in hold on to your hat). If you are flying into the Intl Airport you’ll be coming in at the bottom end of the island, and your resort is closer to the top end… the drive will be long and crazy !!
Hope this helps,
