Thanks motto! That is what we are hoping...that now everything can start falling into place from here! Plus, the wedding specialists there are super helpful (practically like a complimentary wedding coordinator), so I am thinking she'll have great tips on how to proceed. :)
Yay!! We are still looking at venues but I am super hopeful for one specific reception site...so I can relate to your excitement of booking a place! Congrats! Ps I am also a 2011 bride-to-be (just one more month and I can say my wedding in NEXT year) haha. And I'm a Kentucky bride! So your post has made me happy!
Very nice! Congratulations on booking the venue, major accomplishment!
HarleyQuinn: I know...I am so excited that it's almost 2010. It makes 2011 seem so much sooner!

I am just so excited! I had to share with my bee friends.
Today, FI and I took my parents to see our favorite reception venue.. An hour and a half later, we were leaving having paid the deposit, with contract in hand and our wedding date confirmed!
We are having the reception in one of the halls larger ballrooms. It has been our favorite from the start, but kind of pricey, so we weren't sure we were going to be able to get it. Luckily, my parents liked it too! And Papa Gemstone only grumbled a little about the price.
I can't believe it...the reception venue of my dreams has become a reality. I am just such a happy bride-to-bee. :) Now we're on to the next big thing. Photography, maybe? Yay!!!
