Congrats!!! It's nice to have it over, isn't it? And now you can relax. We had numerous little things go not quite right as well, and of course now they are some of our favorite memories, and some of the stories that everybody tells! All in all, it was a wonderful day, and nothing went terribly wrong, and everybody had a really nice time, and that's all you can ask for. I'm completely with you - even though I registered the various things that didn't happen quite right, I so didn't care at the time. You just figure out what to do, if anything, and get through it. With the help of your friends and family, if you're lucky. Like you, I had some people who didn't really come through as promised (due to various things sometimes beyond their control), but other friends stepped up and more than made up for it. I think it's when things don't go right that you see how blessed you are, because that's when people do things you didn't really expect to show how much they love you. I'm glad that you had such a wonderful day!! And welcome to married life; it's great.

Why am I on weddingbee the day after getting married? Well, Mr. Hubby just left for the airport to drop off our entertainer of the night (his BF) and we still have one more guest staying here for another day or two. LOL It just gave me time to sign on. We had an awesome time. Did things go wrong on our wedding day? Of course! Did we get over it? REAL QUICK!
I'd like to thank all you guys for the help, encouragement, and DIY ideas.
I'm very blessed to have the friends I have but I'm very blessed to have this one friend who I did not make a BM. I met her thru work a few yrs ago. She took a couple days off work just in case I needed help. And help was what I asked for. We needed just the bridal parties' flowers earlier than all the other flowers (Photog. request.) I asked her to pick them up for us so the flower lady did not have to make two special trips to our venue. Not only did she make it to our hotel by the time that I requested but she and her husband stuck around the whole morning straight through the end of the night to help out. I could not believe the help that I was getting. I could go into more details on what she did but it'll take hours.
A little tip for you soon to be married ladies and I think you'll hear it a billion times : Weddings will probably not go the way you dream it'd be like. But it's all about you and your husband getting married. As long as you're there with him. That's all you need.
We both had close friends that backed out of the wedding (one was giving birth soon and Bestman couldn't come b/c of his job<-- Backed out 2wks before the wedding) One of the flower girls' dress fell apart, one of the BMs (groom's sister) arrived late and pissed off, but we already expected that (it's just a norm,) With Sunday weddings some people left right after dinner.... But other than that we had a great time. Whatever went wrong we just got over it and moved on. Getting upset will just kill the mood and we spent a lot for an event like this
I hope you guys will be able to relax and enjoy your wedding. It'll be the one day that's gonna be about you as a couple... Well, the groom is just an accessory. LOL Next comes kids and we won't exist anymore. Ha! gLuck!
