- Wedding: August 2014
I got the first glipse of a few of the photos that we’re taken yesterday at our wedding and I’m crying all over again! It was the best day ever!
Getting to see my dad for the first time!
The ceremony was great. My now husband has never sent me a card or written me a love letter in all the years we’ve been together and after the vows he wrote I told him he never has ever again because his vows were so moving and tested the claim of my mascera to last through anything.
The recpetion went great eventhough all the music we’d so carefully arranged for it wentright out the window. We joke that we’re the only couple that had two first dance songs, our MC announced it was our first dance (after having to get the wedding party out of the recpetion room so they could turn right around and make their enterence, everyone broke down laughing then) and then started playing a great song, just not the first dance song. We just went with it, but partway though he caught the mistake and started playing the right one. In the end we just ended up laughing because neither of us could dance and a two minute song is a lot longer when everyone is looking at you so we actually only danced about half of the song. Ditto for the father daugher and the mother son dance. Everyone had a good laugh. And that was about the extent of the dancing…during the dancing part no one danced at all…I mean no one. I thought I’d freak out if that happened, but it was just fine because everyone was having a great time talking and laughing so in the end we skipped the last half of the “dance hour”, never did the grand exit song and had a great time.
I did the Disney package and I would totally recommend it to any bride, everyone kept talking about how amazing the food (and there was tons of it!) and flowers were.
We have some amazing pics (I’ll put them up once we get back from our honeymoon). I had always maintained that I didn’t want a videographer because I just wanted to enjoy the ceremony and not have it be a production. Our photographer ‘hid’ a videocamera without telling either my FI (now husband!) and I so I we did end up with a video, but since we didn’t know it at the time we were still able to just enjoy the whole thing. Perfect move on his part!
