I had a meeting today at the Olympic House and SO went with me. They have a salon they rent for weddings and press conferences so we thought we might as well check it since we were going to be in the building.
That is a nice salon. But SO fell in love with another place he kept asking what it was. It’s called Casa España and it’. A Spanish Villa type of building that is used for wedding receptions and big parties as well.
SO felt in love with the place. He took like a million pictures and he said the other place was nice but this one is awesome and special. I have to agree and I love that it is not a generic/modern salon but has a very romantic Spanish look. When we get married I won’t wear a veil but a mantilla española. And we’ll try to get married in the San Juan Cathedral in Old San Juan, which was built by the Spaniards. Now I feel it will all be very nice because it will also honor that part of my heritage.
Aaanyyyway. Here are the pics SO took. It was super cute seeing him all excited about the place!
So I guess we don’t have the ring yet but we DO have our venue and a possible date! This just seems a bit crazy (in a good way) and surreal. Not in the traditional order but oh well… I guess we are not too traditional anyway and with the limitations we have due to visa and LDR things doesn’t necessarily happen in the same order as in other relationships. 🙂

@lauraashley09: thank you! 🙂
The salon is beautiful. And I think one of the things I love the most is that because the place is so beautiful and has so many details, the salon has wood floors, ceiling and tons of mirrors in the walls we will need very minimal decoration. Meaning less $$$. It also has a built in wood stage.
Just outside the room they have a beautiful bar and they include two bartenders in the price but let you choose and bring all your alcohol and soft drinks. They will even let me use the alcohol we can get at the military base which is waayy less expensive and won’t have to pay tax!
We can also choose our caterer which is awesome as we can have the food we want and save some money too!
And it includes a lady that will keep the bathrooms spotless all the time during the activity. Niceee!
