Just wanted to show off my future engagement ring!! We found it last week at ShaneCo!! We are planning on taking out the center prongs and adding a second halo 🙂 I’m so excited!!!! 🙂 Our plan right now is to get a 4.5 mm cushion cut moissanite center stone.. I can’t wait to get it sometime this summer!!! Anyone else out there waitng for a proposal with their dream ring?? post your pictures!! 😀

I love it! It’s similar to mine with the split shank and second halo. Can’t wait to see how it turns out!

@MrsN14 I know!! I can’t wait either!! If I may ask, what is your center stone and its carat weight? I’m trying to visualize what mine is going to look like when it’s finished 🙂

Yay! That’s so exciting. Is that opening for a 4.5 mm stone? It looks bigger but maybe you just have eensy fingers!
We are ordering a new setting for my solitaire that’s absolutely perfect. I can’t wait! Here it is:

@208bride: oh wow beautiful! verragio?? or verragio-inspired? love!
@bethygrace16: that setting is absolutely gorgeous! one of the prettiest I have ever seen from shane co (and I know bc my sister is looking there)!!!

@208bride I don’t know… I thought it would hold up to a 6 mm at least, but the sales person suggested nothing bigger than a 4.8mm. I think that is because it is a “cast head” setting which allows the stone to sit much closer to the ring, so if you go bigger, it would stick out more… I guess we will have to wait and see how the finished product turns out 🙂
@wrkbrk I know right??? As soon as the salesperson brought it out, my jaw dropped! I was not expecting to fall in love with it 🙂 and my SO was amazed as well 😀 We’re both SOO excited! 🙂

I’m hoping to have this beauty [represented in this ginormous photo] in rose gold (hopefully) before Valentine’s Day!!!

So pretty.. Love the setting!

This is the ring I’m in love with. 1ct moissanite. I really love the band. We shall see though. An engagement is a ways off, and even with moissanite it may be out of our price range

Oooh I love this thread! Im hoping for the classic Tiffany setting, sometime this year before June! Ugh that sounds like a million years away.

I’m waiting too! Designed this in October and I know it’s finished but I’m waiting for the proposal to see it! Been waiting for a longggggg time
Center stone is moissanite, halo and shank are diamond (the jeweler assured me the prongs won’t stick out this much). I’m so antsy!

@bethygrace16: that is a gorgeous setting. i love it.
may i ask why you want to add another halo to it? why not just get an appropriate size moissy to fit in it instead? i ask this because i would be concerned that altering this setting in any way may make it lose the integrity of the structure and loosen any small stones.

@mypinkshoes I want to add another halo because I love the look of a double halo and I actually hadnt thought of a loss of structural integrity… The sales people assured us that the process of removing the prongs and adding the second halo is quite easy and even if something does happen to it, it would be covered by the warranty and would be replaced. Thanks for that inquiry 🙂 i hadn’t thought about it
