@misschickpea:Me too! I wish I could do a registry at Williams-Sonoma, but the things that I want are also carried by BB&B.... so I'll just keep going by the store to drool over the nice gadgets. :D
I just got our first one too -- one of my bridesmaids is super poor and I told her not to get us anything. However, she's a kitchen wizard and decided to give us a half dozen different chutneys and jams she's made this summer along with a mature sourdough starter!! Tasty treat gifts = win! Yeah, I'd also love some nice pots and pans le siiiiggghhh
we got some nice luggage from FI's Dad and stepmom about a month ago. They didn't want to take it to the wedding as it is huge and also so that way we have it for our honeymoon...
i am getting so excited it all feels so real now. i love it.
new pots and pans was probably one of my favorite thing. except they are stainless steel so I have to use oil to cook anything in the fry pans (as opposed to non stick) which I did not plan for - they all look like I lit them on fire. LOL!
@Miss. Snowball: Get used to it! Ours started coming about a month before the wedding, and we got 3-5 a week until then!
That's so exciting! I miss the big unexpected packages arriving at the door now that our wedding is over!
We got our first gift this week too. It was a Lenox picture frame. It's so exciting!!
Oh man, I am so excited! Excited to get the mail, excited for the door bell to ring, and OF COURSE excited to marry my best friend :)

@sorrycharlie: We went with non-stick, I have a tendancy to actually catch things on fire, so oil and stainless steel and I don't mix well :)

Right before I left for work today, I saw the FedEx guy pull up to our house, and I litterally SQUEELED with glee! We got our first gift today, and it was off our registry! I was so excited I yelled for FI to come quick and take the GIANT box from the fedex guy! Then I yelled "it's from Bed Bath and Beyond!" YAY!
I am just now sitting down to write them a thank you note, and I just cannot wait for our wedding day, I am getting really excited!
Also, FI went to our ministers house today, and he brought home two things...a harddrive with like a million songs on it so we can plan our reception music, AND the pretty marriage certificates that we get to choose from for our "hang on the wall" certificate :)
Many, today was an AWESOME day! only 35 more days!!
So, all you September, October Brides, how's it going for you? Any presents yet? Have you gotten your marriage certificate yet? We only have to wait 5 more days to get ours (since it is only good for 30 days).
