So we got the kitten today! He (she?) is very friendly and loves to rub. The other cat isn't too sure about him right now. And we aren't completely sure if it's a boy because we have never had a kitten before.
We think we are going to name it Lucky because it was lucky to be the one out of it's litter that was caught. My husband likes pets to have names that mean something.
aawww congrats!! That's so sweet, he is adorable! good luck with a kitty, I hear they are pretty wild! lol

KITTY!!!!
I almost adopted one at Petsmart today. I would have if the lady would have been there. It would have broken my no-more-cats-before-the-wedding rule. Bad bad bad scissors.
Aww he is 2 cute!
(you can go do search to find out how you determine the gender of cats- I had to double checked when I first got my baby boy
)
KITTY KITTY KITTY KITTY KITTY.
So cute. He's already hamming and tail-question-marking for the camera.
Get a vet to check him out and do a skin culture. Make sure he doesn't have anything nasty like ringworm (which cats can get from dirt and being outside--super common apparently) and shares it with your other baby. He may never forgive Lucky!
Such a cutie =]
I can't say for sure, but I think you have a girl there. It's not exactly calico, but close and calicos are girls.
@DG-I didn't know Calicos couldn't be boys. = / I thought it was just a weird/rare color pattern. lol.
Either way, your kitty is super cute!
OMIGOSH! She's so CUTE! I love her. And then she will make me sneeze and cry. But it would be worth it.

Awww he/she is too adorable! My sisters cat's name is Lucky too...on account of she rescued him from freezing outside so he was darn *Lucky*
It's a gender neutral name also so it doesn't matter if it's a boy or a girl! I do agree with others bees, go get the kitty checked for gender and shots/deworming etc. Congrats on the addition to your family!
Yup, we are going to take it to the vet on Tuesday (they are closed the rest of the week and I have an appointment with my surgery doc on Monday and I don't know if I would be back in time to get to an appointment). Since Lucky was an outside cat for most his life, he hasn't had shots that we know of so we have to get those along with all the other checks.
We think it's a girl now. The cat's probably sick of us look at its butt!
Yep, that's a little girl (well genetically it could possibly be a boy, but I've yet to see that happen). She's so pretty! Congrats.
Her coloring looks mostly tabby with a little bit of tortoiseshell (a cat color sort of in the calico family) which is referred to as a "torbie". She may even be a dilute...hard for me to tell in this photo, but instead of her tabby markings being the typical dark greyish-brown, she appears more of a muted silvery gray/blue, and her orange spot on her forehead looks more cream/buff then a bright orange, so that would mean her coloring is diluted.
The easiest way to tell the sex is that when you look under the tail and under their butt, you'll see a set of circles with another little circle underneath it if it's a boy. With her size, you should have easily been able to see her boy parts, so if you can't tell, she's almost positively a girl.
You know, Torbie would be a cute name for a kitty! = )
Good luck with Lucky's vet appt!
Girl I saw this on your FB earlier! So freakin cute! And CONGRATS!!
oh my!! She is so darn cute!! I love her digitally and Spazzy says they can be internet friends! (She's my new kitten!)
yay! I had a kitty named Lucky too :) Make sure you have him tested for feline luekemia and aids too. I got my kitty from rescue and they *told* me he was negative but in fact was positive for kitty luekemia and I didn't find out until too late to do any maintainance type care with him.
So excited for you! Love kittens, and grey kittens are just so adorable. Yay for a new family member =D
@Corgi: That's so sad! I have heard that they can live a pretty good life even if they are positive they can still live a happy life.
