My Fiance and I planted several tomato seeds about a week and a half ago. We are going to grow one plant inside to have fresh tomatoes in April in Illinois!
The other day, the little tray got knocked over by our 6 month old pup, so we weren’t expecting it to sprout.
He just sent me a text message saying there is in fact a sprout! I am sillily excited about this.
We are also growing lettuce indoors… GREAT idea everyone! It is SOOO easy. Put some soil in a pot, sprinkle in some seeds, cover it with a little more soil, set it in a sunny to partially sunny window and BAM. It is seriously that easy. You will have fresh lettuce. We got the cut-and-come-again so it will keep growing back after we cut it. Defintiely better than paying $2.50/bag!
