I just came back from my first sonogram and everything, thank god, is fine. Me and my hubby were soo nervous about this. I didn’t even have to have a transvaginal one, she did it over my belly and there was my little bean sprout. I could see their little arms buds and the baby kept turning around like doing summersaults lol. I’m now around 10-11 weeks along and really didn’t expect the baby to look so much like a baby, even though he/she is only like 6 cm big. My husband the mush he is had tears in his eyes and we got 3 great pictures to take home. The next step is deciding when to tell the families. I thought I would have cried, but I didn’t, I was just amazed by looking at the screen and totally relieved that everything is ok =)

Congrats. DH and I both cried during our first sono! It was so powerful. We hadn’t heard the heartbeat yet, so seeing our baby on the screen was incredibly powerful. We told our families right after the positive test, and after the 1st sono (at almost 12 weeks) we told friends and family.

Yea!! How exciting!
They did an ultrasound at my 8 wk appt and the Dr. was happy but Baby looked like a blob to me, so I just smiled and nodded when he asked if I could see it. 🙂
I’m excited for my next appt. since my husband will get to go, maybe Baby will be less tadpole-y.

Such an incredible feeling! When I saw my little nugget for the first time, I sobbed instantly. It’s such a great feeling.

My baby looked like a peanut in my first sonogram! lol. It was cute. Neither of us cried until I was having him though. My FI was in the room counting while I pushed and he had to stop because he was trying to fight tears as he saw our son’s head peak threw. Then when he got to hold our baby…I almost cried at the look on his face. If your FI cried at the sonogram wait until the delivery! It is a much more powerful experience and one you will never forget. It sure brought us closer!
