I'm in the SAME situation! Although, my boyfriend is deploying in July 2010 so we have to get married before then. He hasn't asked me but we've looked at rings together and I know he's spoken to my parents. but since I know once he asks me I won't have much time to plan, I already bought a dress ;) he doesn't have to know that though....
It will be here before you know it! Since you have some major wedding brain you should ask him if he minds a little preplanning. If he is cool with that start looking at some vendor, it may help you later!

Ok so my bf (of 6yrs and 5 mo) this weekend took me to a jewlery store to try on e-rings. I almost cried TWICE. I picked out my ring (Round w/ Halo)....and now Im just waiting. He says he wants the proposal to be perfect... "We only have one chance to get this right babe"...is what he says exactly **sighs**. I don't think he'll do it till xmas...I am driving myself nuts...I have weddings on the brain like crazy, and it prolly doesn't help that we live together =P
