Well if you're not really into the whole church thing, why not look into a secular officiant? Just a suggestion.
could you have a friend ordained? It is really fun! I officiated my dad's 2nd wedding and it was awesome!
Ugh, I'm sorry. It's too bad that he's doing that... maybe you'll be able to find someone even better.
It's an outdoor wedding. FI was just really close to this guy when he was in HS. He really helped FI open up, and he did FSIL's wedding back in June. I don't get why he'd tell us he'd send us our requirements and everything, not send it, and bail 2 months later. = (
We'll look into a friend doing it, I guess. FI's other option is not someone I am fond of.
That happened to us too! I looked around but a few of the pastors I contacted said the same thing. We really wanted someone who knows us so we had my uncle ordained to perform the ceremony! It's really I relief to have someone we know up there with us. I really recommend it!
I would look into a JOP or a friend. Sorry the pastor turned around on you like that! How frustrating!

FI's pastor from back before we met has refused to do our ceremony on grounds that we are not currently affiliated with a church!!! He says we should start going and get them to perform the ceremony. But that's against the point isn't it?!?! Our options are kinda low, and the 2 others we know, I'm not sure about! Ugh!
