I was just reading another post about admitting you met on-line. I met my DH on plenty of fish, which I figured most people had never heard of, however a couple others mentioned it. So it got me wondering for those of us that met our SO's on-line, which is the most popular site.
@tranquility: I know this sounds terrible, but I thought people just hooked up to have sex on craigslist. LOL Please don't get mad, I'm glad that's not always the case.
@mwitter80: lawl! We actually met on the strictly platonic section of the list, vowing to never meet in real life. Ooops guess we didn't go through on that part!
LOL after being on JDATE, MATCH, PLENTY OF FISH and every other dating website out there I'm slightly embarrassed to admit we met on HOT OR NOT!
Oh I am so glad to see the results of this. I am curious too. We met on Craigslist.

Just got the funniest text from my husbands BFF's wife that says...I just saw your post on the bee, did you really forget JDate? LOL I added it and just discovered that she is on the bee. Yikes! LOL
Match. And I almost didn't reply. I thought he was out of my league. Almost 2 years later and I couldn't be happier. :)
I had nothing but bad experiences on Plenty of Fish. I found Eharmony was good at finding guys I would have been friends with in real life but not interested in romantically.
Match. He IM'd me and the stupid IM thing wouldn't work. Luckily I remembered his name so I could search for him and send him a message!
I did use OKCupid as well and met a nice guy there, but that's all he was.

We met on Craigslist 3 years ago- by the time we are married- we will have been together 4.5 years. (I posted an ad in the dating section, he responded.)
We didn't meet through a dating site...we met in a chat room long ago when people still used them. :-) Custom made nirvana chatroom. Yay 90s!
I'm not gonna lie... I voted other just to see what the results would be, and I was curious about Craigslist!!! I didn't know that it was a potential dating site, but seeing from other bees, I guess it is. I think that new movie "Craigslist Killer" is in my brain! But that can happen on any site.
WOW surprised to see so many OKCupids, but alas, we met there as well! Interesting that it's not more for eharmony or one of the paid sites =)
We met on Myspace! He was a persistent little fu**er and kept asking to come over to watch Family Guy (fav show) and I kept saying no because I had met some real winners online prior to him. So after 2 weeks or so I gave in because he looked so cute in his picture. We met Cinco De Mayo 2006 (had a party at my house) and never stopped talking!
We met on EVE Online which is an MMORPG. :) We became friends when we joined the same corporation in the game and 4 months later had a chance real life meeting in Iceland (I'm American and he's from the Netherlands so honestly we never thought we'd meet) and it was love on first sight for both of us! :)
@M.Ruder: OK Cupid is one of the fastest growing dating sites right now. All of my single friends have actually abandoned the other sites in favor of it. It could be a regional thing - those friends are all Boston and NYC based.
Oh, and my husband and I met on Match! SO did my brother and his wife!
@crayfish: I bet it actually has a higher success rate! When we were on it 3+ years ago, it was still amazing! I love the % of compatibility they showed =)
