I saw on the survey that there's supposed to be a Europe: Other local board. But I can't find it.

@Elvis: Did it have ** before it? Some of the boards Yrret listed don't currently exist - we're trying to find out if there's enough interest to add them!

I hope this means that there'll be some changes to the local boards? Some additions, perhaps? Because I know it would be too difficult/too much work to add individual cities, I've always thought it would be a good idea to add regions to each state. For instance, in addition to major cities, something like south *state name*, upstate *state name*, central *state name*, etc etc. I live about 2-3 hours from both major cities for my local boards, so I apply to neither, lol. (I chose other for the survey, duh) And with so many WB members all over, I'm sure I'm not the only one that this applies to.

You guys forgot to put the St. Louis boards on your list in question 1.

ETA: Nevermind... it's REALLY confusing that you listed St. Louis as Illinois.

@zippylef: Oh, sorry.  I didn't realize.  The name of the board is "St. Louis and southern IL" I assumed the whole board was in IL.

Yeah, we also have a board called "Kansas City" but doesn't specify which state. It could be Kansas or Missouri. We need to figure something out for that board.

@Wonderwoman217: Yeah, that's why we are thinking about having a general 'other' category for some states.

I would leave the KC board as one even though it is two cites, it is like omaha/council bluffs - two states, two cities, but one community. IMO

Oh, I see a lot of comments on the survey about local boards not being too active.  You should post on your local board so it becomes more active.

Also, I know weddingbee meetup are pretty popular and it's always fun to meetup with other WB members. You can ask to see if anyone is interested in having one.

Another idea is to start a thread for a chat in your local board.  That will also make the board more active.

Oh, thanks to everyone who participated.  We have 235 responses so far.

I think there's MAYBE two dozen people from my area on here, so I'm not surprised there's no board for my area.

We kinda get forgotten all the time, since the only thing major in my area is a college that is kinda low-key, a president's birthplace, and I think that's it!! Oh, and the Appalachian Trail cuts through the city I live in.  Big whoop.

Done! I'll c/p my comment from the survey here:

I think there needs to be more Canadian options - maybe each capital city in addition to the larger cities (IE Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary).

Or if that is not possible for whatever reason - can you add Canadian province boards? There are many more Canadians on this site than this poll seems to think. If you can't do major Canadian cities, why not provinces? "Western Canada" could be anywhere from Alberta to the Yukon.

@Gingersnap: The Local Boards were originally structured around where we had users (thus the original local boards were primarily major metropolitan areas in the US). The site has grown a LOT in the last 2 years though, so we're trying to identify which new boards we need to add :)

We talked about just adding tons of boards, but our tech team warned us that would slow the site down, and we want to see the site speed up, not slow down, so we're trying to determine where the biggest needs are! Hopefully Yrret's survey will help give us some crucial numbers to do just that!

I did thank you it was fast and easy I happened to mention about certain scam artists that have frequented here lately and wrote a hefty paragraph stating that the web management  needs to consider in having a  way for us to report scam artist and have them block from the site so you  can keep trading without getting ripped off so often!!!!

@bLISSFLbRDE:  You can report any suspicious activity that includes spammers by flagging the post.  That's the easiest way to notify the mods about the spam or scam.  If you have been a victim of a scam, you can report it in our support forum (support.weddingbee.com), please give us all the proof you have and we will try to take appropriate measures to deal with this scam artist.

@Wonderwoman217: Agreed! I live in Southern Indiana /  Ohio Valley (Louisville Metro area in Kentucky) and we are so far away from Indy or Lexington that it doesnt really make sense to group us with them.
