I worked for a hotel for a few years, and we had a similar mattress in our rooms. We never charged extra to sleep on it, although for my first year the bed was only in a specialty room type, so technically it was extra, but the room was also larger with a whirlpool. I doubt that is the bedding companies fault. Aren't they adjustable as well?
Do your research online. We got our memory foam mattress on Amazon.com, and it was about $400.00 shipped, I believe. We've had it for over a year and it is a-m-a-z-i-n-g. A little softer than the tempurpedic, same quality, waaaaaaaay cheaper. Look online at Amazon for ones with great reviews - you'll save a ton of money not buying brand name!
i have an amazing memory foam mattress and i absolutely love it. unfortunately it will go in the spare bedroom when we get married since its a queen and he has a king :( FH has a temperpedic pillow and he cant sleep without it. we took it on a cruise with us and he left it by accident. after one night home he had to go out and buy another one and they arent cheap but soooo worth it
We got a memory foam topper one that is 3-4" thick and its amazing! I wouldnt want the whole matress in the foam because i like the support from the springs.
My parents got one and they love it. It was $600, but it also adjusts height so you can "sit" in bed. They love it and they say it was worth every penny, but when they vacation, I sometimes use it, and I just can't sleep very well on it.

We drove 4 hours one way, just to stay at a hotel in downtown Houston and try out the tempurpedic. They charged us extra to sleep on the mattress, and about $40.00 in taxes, all together over $200.00 for one night. I was disappointed that they had the bottom of the line there. Not a great sales move for tempurpedic. I was hoping to sleep on the cloud. The least they could do is have a tempurpedic pillow. The pillows were hard as rocks and the mattress was not that far behind. I am going to look at the “Bree O Pedic” today.
