We arranged things so all of our RSVPs came in through our wedding website. Each invitation had a code, and when you logged in to the RSVP page using that code, it listed the people invited via that invitation. It was therefore possible to say yes or no as to each person, but not to add any more people.
This worked just fine up until today. Today was the day that my son/"dude of honor", of all people, discovered that the function that asked if someone was coming was not tied to the function that asked what meal they wanted. So he checked the boxes to indicate that he was coming, but his girlfriend was not. But he also selected meals for both of them. He told us that this was because he was really hungry, and wanted to eat both his meal and hers.
Yeah, nice try!
