Wearing a garter with a mermaid gown.. Questions?

@MsBark:  Can we see a photo of your dress??  If your gown has a lot of texture (lace, ruching, etc.) it would mask the garter, if it’s smooth then probably not so much. 

ETA: Also, you could always turn the garter so that the beading is a bit more on the inside of your leg.

@MsBark:  my first dress was a lace trumpet and I did have this problem!

@MsBark:  Hmmm, even with the lace it lays pretty smooth so if the garter toss is important to you (which I see that it is), then I’d recommend that you turn the garter just a bit so that the beading is more on your inner thigh.  No one but your FI will see that it’s turned that way.

@MsBark:  I’ve had friends with this problem and they didn’t wear the garter all day.  They went into a different room and put it on just before the garter toss.
