FI was dead against getting a ring…he didnt even want one for the ceremony because he said he wont wear it. I did order him one just for ceremony purposes. It is a tungsten ring that I ordered from a girl who sells body jewlery, and it was only $28.
So I picked it up yesterday, and FI hasnt taken it off since! Id prefer he wait till we get married, but I just cant believe hes wearing it at all lol
So now he is deciding he wants to wear a ring, I am wondering if there is a difference between the ring I bought, and a tungsten ring at a jewlery store that costs $200-300?

I know nothing about the quality of the ring vs other ones in jewelry stores but I think it is really nice he wants to wear a ring now. My FI has an engagement ring as well that he wears every day. He loves it! We will both be using our engagement rings as our wedding bands too, and I like that we aren’t getting new rings but rather what the rings mean to each of us will change.

I have heard tungsten rings are very durable. I don’t know if they feel different. As for him wearing the ring I think meh. It’s his ring and his finger and if he wants to wear it let him it’s not going to make the ceremony any less special. He probably is feeling it out and if nothing it’s a good thing he likes it and will wear it day to day after the wedding.

I bought the same ring (same price) and I also bought a $200 ring from the jewlery store to compare and I didn’t notice ANY difference. I really think that’s just the price mark-up that jewlery stores charge.
I also wore my wedding band out last night, you know to “test it out” it’s hard to wait!

FI is wearing a male engagement ring. We picked up an inexpensive tungsten one and will be getting a nicer one for his wedding ring. He will switch the current ring to his right hand after we are married. It’s a good way to get used to wearing one 🙂
