Once I get my ring, I plan on leaving it on as much as possible, so I'll be wearing mine wherever I go. I wear my engagement ring everywhere, even traveling and at the beach and have never had any problems.

i've been thinking about this a lot, too. we're going on beach (seychelles) and safari vacation. as much as i'd prefer to bring it, i think im leaving e ring at home and taking only the wedding band. people have been to africa have told me this is prob the better idea.

I was just talking about this with my fiance ... I too would be very nervous about losing my e-ring on the beach, or having it stolen (we're going to Jamaica), so I might just wear the wedding band (which has no stones) and leave the rock at home.
I left my e-ring with heirloom diamond at home. just wasn't worth risking losing it in the pool/ocean- its irreplaceable. I did wear the wedding band which is more modest- i locked in our in room safe when we went to the pool/beach- and had it on all other times.
I left both my engagement ring and wedding band at home. I couldn't stand that thought of losing them. I wore a plain band instead.
My cousin told me definitely not to wear my rings on the honeymoon cuz people get them stolen or lost a lot. With that said I was planning on leaving mine at home until I realized we fly out of Ohio from the wedding straight to our honeymoon and then fly out of the honeymoon straight to Boston. So if I want to not bring my rings I have to give them to FI's parents or something. Obviously I trust them but it still makes me nervous. Ahh! What to do what to do?!?!
I had never thought about this till now. We are planning on wearing our rings on the honeymoon but will be taking them off when we go to the beach. I may bring a fake to wear when I don't feel like wearing and worrying about the real one.
Ours will be insured as well, but I would hate to loose them!

I wear my everywhere that we go. It's insured. I feel naked without it, though it's been six years that I've been wearing it. :)
for flying you could wear it on a chain around your neck. Have your jewler inspect it before you go and then just don't take it off! My jewler told me she has never heard of someone breaking a ring/ loosing a diamond as long as it is checked regularly but often she hears of people taking rings off and loosing them.
I would say yes people normally wear them on their honeymoon. Just be careful, as always. I'll put mine in the safe when we go to the beach. I'm finally getting my e-ring appraised, along with my band on monday, hopefully by next week I'll have them insured. It's been weighing on my mind for awhile. I would hate to lose my rings (for sentimental value), it would be much worse if they weren't issured though!
I left my e-ring at home because I didn't want something to happen to the main stone on my trip or get robbed because it caught someone's eye. We did wear our wedding bands, though, because we wear them all the time anyway.

Does your hotel have working safes in the room where you are staying for your honeymoon? I will probably bring mine but lock it in the safe (with all of our valuables) when we are at the beach or doing an activity where I could lose it.
We wore ours out to dinner, shopping, etc. while we were out of the country on our honeymoon. Definitely make good use of the hotel room safe while you're swimming, sleeping, or any other time you're not wearing them.

Do people normally wearing their wedding rings/engagement ring on their honeymoon? Since we're going somewhere tropical and faraway (Bora Bora), I feel like we'll be taking them off to go swimming and stuff, so I'm worried about losing them (and not being able to go back and look for them). What do ya'll think?
