I just recently got married 2 weeks ago. Since then, my dress has been haning on a door jam in our living room on display. I have not had time to take it to the cleaners yet to get preserved.
Our family was over the day after the wedding to watch us open our gifts and later in the day, my dress was hanging there looking all pretty, I felt that it deserved a try on. I slipped it on over my clothes and everyone got a kick out of it.
Since being back from our honeymoon I have tried it on one other time as well.
My SIL said that every anniversary she has tried on her dress(except for last year when she was preggo).
Anyone else try on your dress post wedding?

I’ve heard of people getting it shortened and wearing it as an anniversary dress. That sounds like a cool idea

Just once (although now I’m starting to think I should have put it on more! LOL!). I wore it again 2 days after the wedding to go see my grandmother in her nursing home. She has Alzheimers and wasn’t able to come to the wedding, so we brought the wedding to her!
(I tried to attach a photo for you but our site issues today have other ideas, so maybe later…)

::Sigh:: Sadly, I cannot. When it was altered, they made it too small. It was pretty tight, but not uncomfortable on the day-of after 2 weeks of dieting and (I’m ashamed to say) water-retention pills. When I tried the dress on after our honeymoon, there was no chance. I’ve since gained about 7 lbs since the wedding, so yeah…..

Oh, I wish. I LOVED my dress. Unfortunately, though, I never wore it again after the wedding, and we recently sold it. Sadness.
