I never wore white to another bride's wedding, but i once wore a white dress to her bridal shower.  Is that a no-no?

Eh. I wouldn't freak out if someone wore white to my bridal shower. I'd probably notice it, though.

It's not something I would do, but I don't think it's such a big deal to people as it is when someone wears it to the wedding.

I don't think I'd even notice it if someone did that at my shower.

I wouldn't even notice either. Then again I wouldn't care if people wore white to my wedding... I'm wearing pink!

I don't think I'd notice at either the shower or wedding, but I've heard it's a no-no. But then, my dress is light gold, not white, so it wouldn't be a big deal to me!

I wouldn't mind if some one wore white to my bridal shower either. I think that etiquette rule is only for a wedding.

i wore white once to a rehearsal lunch (outdoors) in the dead of summer two days before a wedding my hubby was a GM in.  The bride had a fit.  I can see the whole white thing with the actual wedding, but the whole weekend?  come on.  she was nutty though.  the couple is already divorced.

It totally depends on the bride. Me? I wouldn't care at all. Some people might though. But you've already done it so I wouldn't worry. Nobody is going to notice or care. It's not like you wore a wedding dress to the shower! :)

Personally, I don't care about the white at a wedding thing. I've never heard of it at a shower, but I can imagine there probably would be someone who wouldn't think it's appropriate.

In general, I try to avoid wearing white to a celebration where a future bride is celebrating her impending nuptials. Honestly? So I can avoid anyone thinking to themselves, "She's wearing white!? What's she thinking??"

I don't have too much white in my wardrobe, so it's usually pretty easy to avoid.

I definitely wouldn't notice or care. The wedding, on the other hand, bothers me.

When you wore white to the bridal shower, did anybody tell you anything?
