@loveandapitbull:  don’t stress! My forecast right up til the day said scattered thunderstorms all day…and it didn’t rain once! The sun held out for us and our day was beautiful. No point in worrying over something you can’t change either 🙂

Oh my, I haven’t even given this a thought.  We have everything inside, but we were planning to do some pictures outside by the water.  I need to go look now! LOL

I wouldn’t really worry until the middle of next week, and just have your plan B in place in case there is bad weather.

@loveandapitbull:  Don’t stress- you can’t control the weather, so there’s no use worrying about it.

We had torrential rain and strong winds on my wedding day.  We had planned to have our ceremony overlooking the golf course and the aisle weaves around two ponds with lovely fountains.  Yeahhhh we ended up getting married inside in a less-than-beautiful room.

I was a little disappointed at the time because the outdoor ceremony would have been gorgeous, but at the end of the day we were married and happy and everything worked out ok.

Ugh, I know the feeling! We’re date twins (yay!) and my heart sank a little when I saw the “scattered thunderstorms” picture. 🙁 I told my bridesmaids to cross their fingers and toes.

I’m in the same boat as you, checking the forecast for my 9/21 wedding!  I’m using Accuweather.  Does anyone know of any other good sites to check?

We have to make the call by Monday or Tuesday (the 16th or 17th) on whether or not we will order a tent.  We really don’t want the tent because we would have to move our dancing from the lovely patio into the house where there will be less room for guests to gather around.  If we don’t order a tent and it rains it will be extremely crowded in our historic house venue.  I’m going to roll with it either way and hope our coordinator makes it all look seemless.

Best of luck to everyone checking the weather!  Keep sending those good weather vibes!

@loveandapitbull:  Yeah im not too far south from you.  I honestly think it is going to go north but you never know.  We actually have friends that were supposed to get married at the same place we are at the beach and they had a hurricane and rescheduled it for a month later. 🙁

@loveandapitbull:  Weather forecasts don’t seem to be that acurate anyway, I wouldn’t worry about it too much.  It’s not something you can control anyway, so try not to stress about it.

It rained on our wedding day.  We did our photos beforehand, and the rain stayed away for those (yay!).  But we were supposed to have an outdoor wedding and right before we arrived there was a big downpour, so we ended up getting married inside the barn and everyone just sat at their tables rather than outside.  Honestly, it ended up looking much nicer than it probably would have outside, people seemed very relaxed and comfortable (which we were going for), and there were WAY less bugs indoors than outdoors.  As for photos after the ceremony, the rain turned into a light drizzle so we just sucked it up and went out anyway.  We got some really nice shots with a big umbrella.  It was also all misty looking, which was pretty in the photos.

Just roll with it either way.  Make sure you have a backup plan, and make sure that you can make your backup plan something that you will like as much as possible.  I wasn’t worried about the barn because it was beautiful indoors as well, but I know if I had to move into a bland hall I would have been upset.  So if that’s something you might have to do, just be sure to decorate your plan B so if you need to use that you wont be too upset.  And pick up a big fun umbrella.  Don’t let the rain hold you back from photos, because you’ll only get one chance to capture them.
