I hope the weather turns around. It seriously rained every day for a week up to my wedding but the weather on my wedding day was perfect!
We had our wedding outside in July. We had two concerns, extreme heat or rain. Well, all week the weather people kept talking about the thunderstorm we were supposed to have. Instead, it was perfect. Overcast [great for pics] and not too hot. Perfect.
Hope it works out! I think the weather knows to behave for weddings : )
Hi! I'm getting married the same day as you and facing the same situation... I'm excited because it's only 5 days away.. but the rain is the downer. Our ceremony is suppose to be outside... We picked our venue because of the outdoor garden wedding, but we may have to just resort to Plan B: indoor wedding ceremony. I was also thinking about tents and umbrellas, but we have so many of our parents' family coming that we are resorting to our Plan B.
I'm hoping and praying that it will be a sunny day on Feb 26th!!
Crossing my fingers for you! Last April, the week leading up to my wedding was a weather nailbiter for me, too. Rain, light rain, wind, etc..forecast changed every day. It never rained! Not one drop! (It was a little windy, though, but didn't care about that!) So, try not to think about it and hopefully it will be just fine. And just know, even if the weather doesn't cooperate, you are still going to get married and have an amazing day!!!
We're date twins!!!! We also are dreading the weather being we live in Palm Springs area.... :( weather channel predicts showers for our area too... Although we're having an indoors wedding, we were looking forward to outdoor pics! I strongly suggest u look into the ballroom they're offering. It will not be a good idea walking around in soggy grass. Plus I'm sure ur guests will want to enjoy ur day in a dry area. Unless the hotel has some type of indoor garden area or something similar. I wish u luck! I really hope and pray it stops raining in all of Ca.... that way we both have a dry, sunny, beautiful wedding!
We have snow on the forecast for ours, lol. I wouldn't mind actual snow, but with my luck it'll just be freezing rain instead.
Just now the weather channel announced chance of snow on top of of freezing rain......! I don't know what to say anymore! Ok, now don't get me wrong, I absolutly love cold weather... but not on my wedding day!

Getting married in 5 days, yahoooooo!! So very excited. Everything is ready to go too. However, the weather, the one thing we can't control, is looming. We're getting hitched outside by Mission Bay in San Diego, and after rain almost al last week, the forecast now predicts rain on Fri and Sat the 26th, OUR DAY. Any hints? The hotel's back up plan is the ballroom where the reception will be, so that is not ideal. We want to wait til the last minute to decide on any rain plans but of course I can't stop thinking about it. A tent isn't in our budget so we thought about getting white umbrellas (from ???) and white ez-ups last minute if we need to (Costco?). Soggy grass is also a potential downer.... If it's not really raining during our 30 minute ceremony I'll be so happy, as that would effect people's comfort, photos, etc. etc. Any tips from past brides who have dealt with weather on their outdoor wedding day, or just any tips from other Feb 2011 brides wondering/dealing with similar things??
Thanks, Bees!!!! I can hardly stand it.... it's soooo exciting!!!!!! Good luck to all of you as well, and enjoy every minute, rain or shine :)
